What we believe

Our belief is rooted in the Word of God

Our promises

Isaiah 45:2-3

I will go before you and make the uneven places smooth. I will break down the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures that are hidden in darkness and the riches in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

Isaiah 54:2-3

Make the place of your tent wide, and let the curtains of your dwellings be spread out; do not hold back, lengthen your ropes and strengthen your stakes. For you will expand to the right and to the left, your offspring will possess the nations and inhabit the desolate cities.

Our Confession of Faith

Our belief is rooted in the Word of God

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired word of God. It is our rule of faith and life. The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, contains the verbally inspired and authoritative word of God.

Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21

One living and true God

God has chosen to reveal Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in essence, power, and glory. God is a Trinity in unity.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22

God created all things

Out of nothing, God created the things that are the universe—the elements, plant life, animal life, and finally humankind in God's image.

Genesis 1:1-27; Nehemiah 9:6; Psalm 33:6,9; John 1:3; Hebrews 11:3

The Divinity of Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, physically rose from the dead, and will visibly return.

John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 1:10; Matthew 1:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

The Salvation of Man

God saves humanity in the person and work of His Son Jesus Christ. Repentance to God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ are conditions for salvation.

Mark 1:15; Mark 16:31; John 3:16

The baptism of the Holy Spirit

The purpose of baptism with the Holy Spirit is to empower us for service. This is evident in the initial physical signs of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Acts 1:4, 8; 2:4

The church and its mission

The Church is the reborn people gathered in Christ, the head of the Church, through whom the gospel is preached and believers are nourished for global expansion.

Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:11-16

The Second Coming of Christ

The return of Christ will be personal, visible, and glorious. The dead in Christ will rise, and the living believers will be caught up to meet the Lord.

John 14:3; Acts 1:10-11; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
